The Philippines was the first country where Cunina started their child sponsorships in 1992. Meanwhile, over hundreds of godchildren have graduated thanks to the support of their godparent. In Diadi too, in the region of Nueva Vizcaya where Fr Elmer Saludares manages the child sponsorship list together with Racquel Jallorina.

On behalf of all the Cunina godchildren, I would like to thank the godparents for their support in the last few years. Despite the economic crisis, the godparents kept supporting their godchildren and they are convinced that good education is the only way to escape the vicious circle of poverty.

In the meanwhile, a lot of godchildren are graduating and looking for work. This way they contribute to the well-being of their family. Of course, finding a job is not always easy, but youngsters with a diploma will most likely not have to suffer the consequences of ignorance or poverty.

Becoming a Cunina godparent is a long-term commitment. You play an important role in the life of your godchild and you see them become a young adult with opportunities.
