Cooking costs money

In 2004, Cunina was recognised as an NGO, which made the fund-raising for the follow-up of existing and the start-up of new projects somewhat easier. At that time, CUNINA didn't qualify for government funding, amongst others because not a single paid employee was working with the organisation. A non-profit organisation that is solely based on volunteering and varying income from sponsoring, cannot apply for governmental allowances. Now that CUNINA also employs fixed employees, they are working on a new NGO-file, which will be submitted in September 2007, hopefully with a positive outcome for the future.
For the time being though, when it comes to our organisational costs, we are still mainly dependent on donations from both individuals and companies.
