Tax certificate

All donations above € 40 per calendar year on behalf of Cunina entitle you to a tax certificate. This certificate allows you to claim25- 55% of your donation via your tax submission. Your support of developing countries will be rewarded!

What is a tax certificate?

A tax certificate is a receipt for donations above € 40 on an annual basis that can be deducted from your total taxable net income.

What is the advantage of a tax certificate?

With a tax certificate you can deduct the amount of your donation from your total taxable net income. Depending on your taxable income, you can get back half of your donation from the tax authorities.

What do I need to do with the tax certificates?

You have to include the original tax certificate in your tax declaration. You can keep a copy of these certificates yourself, but the tax authorities will only accept the original certificates.

When do I receive my certificate?

The certificate will be sent in March of the calendar year after your donation to Cunina. For example, if Cunina receives a donation in 2010 the tax certificate will be issued in March 2011. If you transfer a donation on 31 December 2011 and Cunina only receives the money in January 2012, the tax certificate will only be issued in March 2013.

How will Cunina get my address ?

After a financial transaction your address details will be communicated by the bank to Cunina and saved in our database. Please inform us if you change your addressso that the tax certificate will not be sent to the wrong address.

I have lost my tax certificate? Can I get a copy?

According to the Directives of the Federal Authorities, Cunina may not issue any duplicates of tax certificates. We can however let you know the amount and the certificate number, which will provide you with enough information to fill out the tax declaration. .

My certificate includes incorrect data. How can I amend it?

On the back of the tax certificate you will see a form for changing yourdetails Please make sure you send this form before the end of April of the year you have received the certificate from Cunina so that can make the necessary changes.
