House Mamosa - Port-au-prince
Mamosa is the centre from where youth activities on a very large scale are organised. The members of the Mamose House are mostly involved, but also some 100 school children who are supported through individual foster parenting, some 20 needy families that receive support and finally the more than 200 members of sports club Banzai with and for whom a whole range of sports activities and cultural initiatives are organised.
The student house is called MaMoSa because the children who live there come from 3 different inland villages: Marmont, Mombin Crochu and Saltaders. Mamosa House was founded in July 1995 as a shelter home for inland children who had to move to the capital to be able to continue their education.
