Prosthesis Project Saci - Belo Horizonte
In Belo Horizonte, the Belgian Wim Stijnen founded the company Orto Solutions, an orthopaedic workshop, specialised in prosthesis. This company uses modern technology and conducts a social policy. Through the Saci project, amputated children from the poorest families still get a chance to take part in the normal, social life as soon as possible by “borrowing” a prosthesis. This way, these children can also go to school, under guidance of a social worker.
Football school - Rio de Janeiro
Football is a very popular sports game in Brazil, also with the many favela children. Through the Mauricio Klabin Football School Project, street children are kept away from the dangerous streets and the drug dealers in the weekends. The children can play their favourite sports game, receive support and a healthy meal. This way, the street workers get the opportunity to educate and follow the children in a playful way. This small-scale project is part of the greater network founded by the Brazilian NGO AMAR.
Creative workshops Casa Familia - Jandira, Sao Paulo

Zo krijgen deze kinderen ook de kans om naar school te gaan. In het educatieve centrum van Casa Familia ondersteunt CUNINA de verschillende krea-ateliers: sieraden maken, teenslippers bewerken, textielverven, kaarsen gieten,...
