Don't let Stephanie's passing be the end...
Stephanie passed away on April 16th 2011 aged only twenty. Like a ray of sunlight spreading warmth and love, her dream was to do more for underprivileged children around the world.
Cunina is fulfilling that dream by building a classroom in Haiti. You can help set up this classroom.
In the Central Plateau of Haiti, in the village of Mombin Crochu, children have their lessons in dilapidated classrooms, two or three classes crammed together in one room. The classes are often separated only by a blackboard or sometimes the different classes just sit with their backs to each other.
The blackboards have large holes in them and the desks are worn down to just a few strips of wood. One of the principals tells us that a wall fell down once while one of the teachers was giving a lesson. If the weather is dry, the children are covered in dust. When it is raining, they are covered with mud.
Cunina, with Stephanie, is building a new classroom for these children.
