Does Cunina receive governemnt grants?

No, Cunina was certified as a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in 2004 what facilitates the fund-raising for the follow-up of existing and the start-up of new projects. Due to lack of permanent employees at that time, Cunina didn't qualify for government grants. A 'vzw', a non-profit organisation that functions exclusively on the basis of volunteers and by varying incomings of sponsors, can't receive government grants. In the meantime, Cunina has employed permanent staff members in 2005 and composed a new NGO dossier, which got filed in September 2007. Government grants are however primary meant to fund projects, so that Cunina remains dependent on fund-raising to finance the operating costs. The administrative contribution which got introduced in January 2005 indirectly added to a better structure of the organisation what might increase the possibility of receiving government grants.
