With CUNINA, you have the possibility to become a foster parent to a child in a third-world country. Thanks to your contribution of 30 euro a month, a child in Haiti, Brazil, Nepal, the Philippines or South-Africa (by choice) can be certain of at least one meal a day and the possibility to go to school. You foster parent contribution of 25 euro a month (30 euro-5 euro management costs) goes directly to the child, which you can monitor closely.

The cost for the creation of a new foster care file is 30 euro. Before you fill in the request form, we would like to ask you to read and agree to the CUNINA foster care Charter. After you check the agreement box, you can fill in and send the request form.
When we receive your request form, we will send you a transfer form for the start payment of 30 euro. As soon as we receive the payment, you will receive the file of your personal foster child within 2 weeks.

At the start of the foster care, you will receive the complete file of your financial adoptive child. You will know who this child is. Then, you can follow up on the child's progress in school and the life of the family either through newsletters & and mailings or through personal correspondence. If you wish, you may visit your foster child as well.
During the entire period of the foster care, CUNINA checks up on everything through a network of local workers. This way, you will be informed of what happens to your foster child, and your money.

Before the registration of a foster care, we kindly request the candidate-foster parents to read and agree to CUNINA's foster care Charter.

Exception to the rule is Nepal

In Nepal, the wages are extremely low and the cost of education is therefore significantly lower than in our other partner countries. In order not to dislocate the local situation, CUNINA's operation in Nepal has been adjusted: half of the foster care contribution goes to the school funds of the personal foster child; the other 12,5 euro will be awarded to general support projects like management and further expansion of a Cunina hostel in the community of your own foster child in Khandbari. The foster parent who chooses to support a child in Khandbari, must agree to this operation.

Cunina NGO in Kathmandu has started its own school: the Alpine Valley School. This project obviously benefits the foster children of Cunina in Kathmandu. However, it brings with it an extra investment. That is why from May 1st on, the full 25 euro of the foster contribution to the foster child will be forwarded.

Before you register as a foster parent, you must read the Charter for a CUNINA foster care and agree to the terms.
