Global Teenager Project
“Today's Learners are Tomorrow's Leaders”
In a world that is shrinking every day and a society where knowledge and information are key, a new form of education is necessary. Education needs to create respect and understanding of other cultures, to show how to turn information into knowledge and to use new means of information and communication.
In 2011, Cunina formed a partnership with the Global Teenager Project.
The Cunina-Global Teenager Project (Cunina-GTP) is an education programme for pupils in Flanders Belgium) and in Cunina’s partner countries, aiming to create respect and understanding of other cultures as well as to teach new means of information and communication.
Imagine a class room debate about immigration, preservation of the rain forest or HIV/AIDS, where the teacher and pupils come into contact with their counterparts in developing countries. Children not only learn about each other, but also with each other. This is possible through Cunina-GTP.
