Cunina believes that education is necessary for individual and social development, and that it leads to sustainable development. Not only access to education is important, but also its quality.

Increase access to education

There are many reasons for children not having access to education. Poverty is often one of them. Parents can’t afford tuition fees, uniforms, school books or school supplies. Children from poor families often don’t get out of poverty themselves. Because they can’t read or write and don’t get a degree, they don’t find any good jobs.

Increase quality of education

The quality of education in developing countries is often disappointingly low. An important cause is the severe shortage of good teachers. The learning materials and the infrastructure are generally poor. These are often reasons why children leave school before they can actually read or write.
