Who is who in CUNINA and who does what?
From a very early age Sophie Vangheel knew what she wanted: to help children who would otherwise grow up without any chances. After working for an international organisation for years, she decided that she could do more. By starting her own organisation on November 23rd 1990 she proved and still proves that she can make a difference, Sophie's whole life has been CUNINA. Via foster care and projects she offers children in Haiti, the Philippines, Brazil, Congo, Nepal and South Africa a future. As founder-president she selects the new CUNINA projects and then raises the funds. Sophie regularly visits the partner countries to check and evaluate the foster children and the projects. sophie@cunina.org
Kathleen Op de Beeck is vice-president and takes over the daily control when the president is absent. She manages the database and is responsible for all administration related to the foster care cases. Kathleen co-ordinates all the foster care files and has contact with all the CUNINA helpers in our partner countries. Kathlees regularly organises information evenings for the CUNINA foster parents in Belgium about group-trips to the home country of their foster children. Elke Vandamme heeft als coördinator van de Noordwerking de dagelijkse leiding over de verschillende afdelingen binnen dit departement. Daarnaast behoren ook de subsidieaanvragen op gemeentelijk, provinciaal en federaal vlak tot haar takenpakket. elke@cunina.org
Greet Gilis staat in voor de communicatie rond projecten en campagnes. Ze update de Cuninawebsite, doet de redactie van de halfjaarlijkse nieuwsbrief en werkt samenwerkingsvoorstellen en sponsormogelijkheden uit voor bedrijven en organisaties. greet@cunina.org
Kris Depypere is de grafisch ontwerper bij Cunina. Hij visualiseert de communicatie en verzorgt de opmaak van al het drukwerk zoals de jaarlijkse campagneposter, het ontwerp van de nieuwsbrief, flyers, enz. kris@cunina.org

CUNINA 's functioning is in the first place based on volunteers. Thanks to the support of the many volunteers, CUNINA is able to keep growing: members of the regional committees organising actions or events for the benefit of CUNINA in their spare time, the people behind the scenes who help with translations, accountancy,...
Bert Hermans is the coordinator of the committees of volunteers. Besides his job as a teacher, he guides the regional committees in the organisation of activities for the benefit of CUNINA, He is the contact person for volunteers and acts himself on a voluntary basis as well. bert@cunina.org
